According to Eletronista, computer maker Gigabyte is the latest company planning to throw its hat in the low cost mini-notebook game. There's not a lot of info about the forthcoming unit yet, but it will reportedly have a 1.6GHz single-core processor, making it one of the most powerful tiny laptops around.

The screen will be somewhere from 7 to 9 inches, although there's no word on the display resolution. Although the design isn't finished yet, Gigabyte plans to stat shipping the new notebook in June.
